As our pets get older they are subject to the ageing
process just as we are, but obviously at an earlier
age than us, and in a much reduced time frame. These
signs of ageing can appear as early as 8 years, hence
the name. Many of these age related problems are difficult
to see, some because they come on insidiously, like
arthritis, and some because they can, in the initial
stages, only be detected biochemically, such as kidney
failure. Early detection and treatment, while often
not curative, can, in most cases, delay the onset of,
or slow the progress of the condition, keeping your
pet healthy for longer with a good quality of life.
