This is a list of our most common fees, but is by no means exhaustive, and unless stated does not include drugs, but does include VAT. Where possible we have put links to pages giving explanations and specimen estimates in order that you can see how we arrive at the figure, and can make a valid comparison. Many items that we include in our estimates, and regard as essential, for example post-operative pain control, are viewed and charged as extras by other practices.

Payment Terms

Veterinary practices are essentially small businesses like any other. We therefore need paying for the services that we offer - that's how we earn our living. We are not paid by the government, and we aren't all charities. Government legislation and increased standards imposed by our various professional bodies ensure that the costs associated with veterinary practice rise well above the rate of inflation. Fees, therefore, will also continue to rise as a result.

We strongly recommend pet insurance, and advise all our clients to take it out. (No - we don't get any commission!)

Cash flow is important to us as small businesses, as most of what goes to make up the fees (drugs, rent, rates, staff wages etc) is paid in advance of, or very soon after a fee generating procedure is performed. We therefore ask for payment at the time. We do not send accounts, and if forced to do so, we will charge you for it!

We do however take all major credit and debit cards.

We are not licensed to give credit and it is not legal for us to do so, so please don't ask.
